Zach Braff’s 24 Year Old Girlfriend, Florence Pugh, Wants People To Leave Him Alone

For those of you not in the know, actress Florence Pugh (Little Women, Midsommar) and Zach Braff (Scrubs, That Video Where He Beat Up A Child On Punk'd) have been together for about a year now. They also possess a 21 year age difference with Braff being 45 and Pugh being 24. Not surprisingly, they're getting a lot of shit for it. Pugh had to disable comments after posting a happy birthday message for Zach.

You see it's kind of become en vogue to absolutely dunk on Zach Braff with whatever opportunity you can get, and for good reason, what with his aforementioned Punk'd video, his decision to crowdfund a movie despite being a wealthy celebrity, and that he basically invented the much-maligned character trope of the "manic pixie dream girl." He's uh, kind of a prick.

But your heart kind of breaks for Florence Pugh, who went to the Instagram airwaves in an effort to curb the abuse of her boyfriend. You get the sense that, while she says she's defending Zach, she's probably taking this a lot harder than he is. "I'm 24 years old. I do not need you to tell me who I should and should not love. It is not your place and really it has nothing to do with you," she said to her fans. But here you see she's missing the point. Even if we somehow lived in a society that didn't care about age difference, there is no dimension within the multiverse in which you don't get roasted for dating Zach Braff.
