We've all got movies that are our sentimental favorites. We'll watch them time and time again, no matter how many times we've seen them (or how recently). Which makes it all the more inexplicable when it turns out those movies have weirdly dark moments that we turn a blind eye to, literally every time.

This contest is based on an idea suggested by Tomkat53, who (probably) has a few dark moments of his own.
