Endings are a difficult thing to get right. Many individuals enjoy stories with happy endings. It brings the narratives to a satisfactory conclusion while confirming humanity's innate goodness. Like any good art, they can leave spectators feeling warm and comfortable. Some prefer a darker, more disturbing conclusion since it defies Hollywood tradition while also portraying a more realistic outcome. Some moviegoers want to be soothed by their entertainment: others like to be pushed.

Hollywood has a huge pile of films that have happy stories but aren't considered happy endings!

The majority of films and television shows tie things up in a lovely, happy little package, leaving us feeling warm and fuzzy. The trouble is, when you think about it for a second, those happy endings aren't always true.
