The creative process relies on coming up with a bunch of ideas and discarding most of them until you’re left with something good. So you expect the discarded ones to not be so great, but sometimes they’re truly weird. We’ve written about how the Lost ending was actually great. We’ve also  covered widely misunderstood endings and tv finales.  

We wanted to do a deep dive into weird almost-made-it details and endings of famous movie scenes that didn’t make it on screen. For example, the ending to the Blair Witch Project was originally even darker than what we saw.  It also turns out some unexpected gaffes led to a different scene with Spock in Star Trek than we realized. Don’t even get us stated on the stuff they left out of Back to the Future. It’s truly wild.
